Caillou's Got Rhythm is an episode from Season 2 of "Caillou". It aired on September 11th, 2000.
Plot[]
Caillou and Rosie go to the playground with Grandma. There's a band at the gazebo there and Caillou dances with Rosie.
Then, the musicians pack up and leave. Caillou's upset, because he wants to hear them play!
Back at home, Grandma plays the tune the musicians were playing on the piano that was out-of-tune, but before that, Caillou asks that he can try playing the piano. Caillou joins in, playing the "drum" by tapping on a table and Rosie helps too, putting two blocks together. Grandma then assists them in making better instruments so they can join her band with her playing piano.
They make a maraca and at first, Caillou wants to play those, but Grandma convinces him to play the drum. Then Grandma tells them about listening to what the other musicians are playing, so that they can play along. Then Grandma and her band play "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". Mommy picks Caillou and Rosie up and they give her a performance.
The next morning at the playground, the musicians haven't come back. So, Caillou, Rosie and Grandma give the concert instead.
Trivia[]
- This is the only Caillou episode to have Caillou playing the piano, even though he tried before he had his own drum that Grandma made. He played the piano again in the book, My First Piano Book, and the song, Caillou can count from 1 to 10.
- So far, this is the only Caillou-related thing to have Caillou playing an upright piano and wears his normal clothes while playing the piano, he later played a grand piano and wears a blue tuxedo and a red bowtie while playing the piano in My First Piano Book and Caillou can count from 1 to 10.
- Daddy and/or Gilbert didn't appear in this episode. But they however have to appear in My First Piano Book which they replace Grandma although Caillou was the one who plays the piano instead.
