Caillou at Daycare (French Title: Caillou À La Garderie) is an episode from Season 1 of Caillou. This episode first aired on September 21, 1997[1] and on September 12, 2000 on PBS Kids.

Plot[]

It's Caillou's first day of daycare school, and he feels a bit nervous. He complains to his mom that he doesn't want to go and he wanted to stay home, but she has to go to work. Caillou begins to cry when she leaves, but his mother promises to come back and pick him up later. Ironically, she is also sad when she leaves because she is not used to leaving Caillou by himself.

Ms. Martin gives him some apple juice and asks him if he wants her to introduce him to the other students in the class which he doesn't. Caillou then begins to play with some blocks but then a boy named Leo comes and shouts at Caillou, telling him, "HEY! Those are my blocks!", which makes him cry and call for Mommy. Leo laughs at him and makes fun of him wanting his Mommy.

A girl named Clementine then meets Caillou and shows him arts and crafts and they then start to do art of robins and worms. But Caillou stays at grandma's better. Leo wants to do art with Caillou and Clementine, but he has to promise to share this building blocks with them. Caillou isn't shy anymore, and the three of them are having fun building castles and doing art until the end of the day, where Caillou's Mommy and Daddy come to pick him up.
